make a difference in handling. Test it -
1. Remove the rear strut bar
2. find an uphill offramp and see how fast you can negotiate it
3. Reconnect the rear strut and try it again.

I did and the rear strut added 5mph around that nasty curve. T

Srut bars will increase you handling capabilities and are good for a starting mod to the suspension. If you really want the best handling you will need to invest in some swaybars. They are by far one of the best handling mods you can do.

yeah, u def feel a difference around curves, def worth it, but dont buy the most expensive set because a strut bar is a strut bar...I got mine for like $40 each

Heres a pic of mine, and yes you do notice a difference.

I don't know much about strut bars or swaybars....can someone give me a quick low-down on what they actually do? I'm about to put new shocks and springs in my talon, and then of course I'll need an alignment, should I put a strut bar in before doing the alignment?...or is it totally unrelated?

It is unrelated to the alignment.

Strut Tower Bars Connect the shock towers together adding rigidness for less body roll

Sway Bars Increasing the size of the sway bar or adding one(incase of the GS-T) further reduces body body roll and makes handling more neutral eliminting understeer or oversteer.

cool....so, unless you're doing some really hardcore track stuff, one probably wouldn't need alot more than a front strut bar eh?

yeah, they make bars for front upper and lower, and rear upper and lower. RRE is the only one that i know of that makes one for the front lower. I pickup my front lower and rear lower on Friday. woohoo!

EBAY! thats where I got my front upper. I dont know if RRE makes ones for the 1g, but its worth a shot. roadraceengineering.com

ok newbie here with the DUMBEST question of the week.
Now that I have these front and rear upper strut bars do I just place them on or do I jack the car up and put them on? Please be kind to the newbie from the dirtysouthOMG

they bolt on to the mounts in the engine bay, and th rear youll have to either remove or cut open the paneling to get to them

-Put them on with the car on the ground, install the both bracket with the main bar remove from 1 end, tighten the struts bolts, then install the center bar.

my front strut bat i bought for below $30 on ebay and it made a decent difference for handling, for sure buy strut bars to clean up the suspension a little.

any suggestions on which strut bars you guys prefer, and where i can find them. There are a lot of them out there and i dont know what the difference is. Thanks
