The Texas Mile October 16, 17, 18 2009

Starting a new thread to find out how many DSM's will show up in Octobers Texas Mile run in Goliad, TX this year. I will be attending in my Spyder and my brother in his Evo. I spoke to some of the imports here in Waco and they are coming out too. Total should have around 5 to 6 cars. Never been to this event before, anyone interested in going let me know and we can meet up on I-35 South or somewhere en route. Gotta love speed!

Our cars wouldn't get over 170, unless maybe someone makes an 8 speed tranny for our DSM's haha. That damn supra is running 248 mph or something like that!

You are very ill informed. Reichen has already shown it capable of 223 and he was no where near the rev limiter in 5th on both the stock 5th and extended 5th. But what do I know we have only been running at the Maxton mile for 4 years now.

So you're telling me my AWD Talon can hit 223 in a mile? I just dont think most of our cars can do 223. Im sure he has some mods on that car for going 223 mph

No I am not telling you your car could hit that, it takes ALOT of power to reach those speeds. But a stock supra won't do it either. Guess if he posted who wants to go to the drag strip you assume everyone will run 13s because that's what your car does. Your snide comments are not needed. There are some of us who take racing seriously. There is nothing about having a 8 speed transmission that is going to help you run over 200.

On topic, I wish we could be there this time but it looks like it will be next year before we head out to Texas.

From what I read on their website, registration is full this year. You can register on their site if you want to run but have to do it months in advance. Check out the link above for more info.
