Well I was going to ask why nobody showed to the track, but it looks like everyone but the pink 1g and an all to fast hopefully non-turbo Eclipse cut out early. There was a white 2g parked on the rail by the fueling station, but it was just hanging out. There were a ton of domestics and damn those Chevy trucks...sleepers!

He did. Unless you want to hear about that 17.something the only other DSM that went down the track ran. That's all I saw while I was there, but we did show up almost 2 hours after they started racing.
Side note...
Why the hell doesn't she spray that pink car to spool the thing at the line? It takes her FOREVER to stage because she is trying to spool it in the pre-stage beams.
And I'm not trying to stir anything up, but I know a few of you guys talk to them and I would like to know the answer. Bet she'd run a tad quicker too.

That would be me busting them 17's. My stock car has something wrong with it, or is it just a pig? Its automatic, and weighs with me in it 3400 lbs. 2.2 60's and I'm pretty sure that is as good as its going to get without a high stall torque converter. I leave the line with 9lbs of boost because any more and my brakes won't hold. Compression is fine, I change the spark splugs (gapped correctly) like its going out of style.

I believe its all about their competitive shops? Some of the shops they compete
Against don’t spray and they are running better times than them… I know Rocky & Cindi are just waiting till others start spraying so that they can start as well…

Well if you look at a couple of months ago, her best time ever was a 10.7 I believe. She ran a 10.3 this time around.....to me that's a huge improvement. Sure she could spray, but when she get's in the 9's there would be those people saying....."oh but she's spraying".
Justin I think something is up with your stock turbo, either that or you have some major boost leaks.

"All too fast hopefully non-turbo" above was probably said about my car, right?
Well, it is turbo. But the car is bone stock excepts exhaust and intake. With 142k miles on motor and turbo. Best time was 15.37 which on my opinion is still pretty good for the stock car with such a high mileage.
Also, I got it just 2 months ago, never had time to get use to it, plus it was my first time to the track and I really had launching problems. 60ft was 2.5sec So please don't throw stones at me
As for the ricey look. Well, first of all I'm from the third-world country, and such look would be cosidered super cool over there, he-he. Also, I fugured once you start modifying an engine it leaves you no time or money to do something with appearence of your car. So I started with appearence though I knew 99% of you will consider me ricey and shit. I don't worry about that 'cus I know my plans for future and pretty soon the way this car runs and handles will match it's look
I'm sure all above said wouldn't change anybody's opinion, but I still feel better now

, I knew someone will mention that! Almost all DSMers think our cars looks great with no wing or with the stock wing. Well, what can I say - I like my wing and I put it on replacing the stock one in purpose - because I like it! Also, I'm leaning more towards close circuit setup for my car rather than drag and going to make this wing actually functional. By the way, anybody has friends at the airport with access to the wind tunnel?
P.S. Thanks for being honest though

Thats actually the cleanest aftermarket wing i've seen. You need a front lip! I'm getting one. That would be my only exterior mod though.
I probably do have boost leaks. Its my crappy stock ic pipes.
Time to upgrade to front mount, just so I can prepare, and also get new pipes.
My car just clicked over 100,000 miles.

It's a race car, who cares what people say. I'm not taking anything from her, I was just curious on why she doesn't spray it on the line. If it runs 9's on bottle, so be it...it ran 9's!

Unless your car ran 17's, I wasn't refering to you. You must of got a few runs and left, because there was only the 17sec and white DSM there when we got there.
As for you times, decent times for what's done to it and lack of time with it. Yes, your car is a bit on the rice side for me, but it doesn't look bad.

Funny thing is, I WAS in my car!
It had its mismatched wheels on it, open exhaust, dirt plastered and all! To bad after Frank helped me get rid of the knock on the way there, I had to go and break the shift cables on a 3rd to 4th shift!
If its not 100° for the next meet, I'll be there. I work outside in this heat all day, so no need to relax in it too. I plan on actually making this car run down the track soon (the whole reason we went to the track anyway). Roll out and hit it...should be good for 14's!

No, I had no 17's time. Mine was 16.04 (missed shift) and 15.37.
Well, I feel even better now Thanks, man.
