Any painters in the Austin Area
My side skirts are pretty faded and I would like to get them painted to match the rest of the car for a reasonable price. I'm tired of looking at my two tone paint. I would attempt to do this myself but time is something I no longer have with a new born in the house. Let me know.

Yeah it's some form of faded silver . I actually live off 290 east in the Elgin area. I really don't see many dsm's in my area. Every once in a while I see a 1G w a huge fmic roll bye in the opposite direction. He actually raced a buddy of mine on 290. He had a silver 2G as well. I'm sure the guy thinks I'm him everytime he sees me . Yeah let me know if your friend is interested.

ha ha i bet your talking about Larenzo, white 1g lives in that area, he's sporting the 20g w/280 cams. Trying to get him to come to the meet but have no way of reaching him.
I have a guy who's pretty cheap on painting, he does side jobs at his house. Never the less he does some real good work and doesnt use any kind of cheap paint. Ill ask him to see how much side skirts would be. Considering he painted my hood for $70, I wouldn't think any more than that.
Also if your not looking to have a "two-tone" paint look, correct me if im wrong but i believe you have to get both sides Back-Front of the car painted to match otherwise it will be noticable in daylight.

Are you talking back and front of the car? The bumper covers? Are they really that faded as well ? Yeah sure, see how much he would do the bumper covers and the side skirts for. Would like to get this done asap.

no i mean the entire side of the cars (Fenders). I could be wrong tho but when my friend shaved his door handles they had to paint all the way to the front and back fender to make the color scheme look good. Ill try to get in touch with him as soon as i can.

Naw, don't really care about all that. I don't know anything about body work but I thought they could match your paint, even with years of oxidation. That way the surfaces that were freshly painted would not stand out as much from the rest of the car. I understand they have to blend in some cases but I don't think it would matter all that much since I'm just doing the side skirts. I'm just tired of looking at them when ever I get done washing the car. I purposefully leave the car dirty because it hides the fading.
