Airbags suck! Saturday the 23ed I got in a car accident. I would have walk away but the airbag deployed and gave me a lot of abrasion to my eyes and face, cut up my right wrist pretty bad. I also got hyphema which is blood in the front of my eye.

So far my injuries are healing fine, all of the abrasion a healed. I still have the hyphema in my left eye so my vision is still a little blurry but I am making a fast recovery.

Wow... I don't trust airbags that deploy from the steering wheel for that problem.

Side impact and all the other ones I guess are OK, but me I'd rather have a 5pt racing harness and a roll cage any day of the week.

you wrecked youir GST? or a diff car? what happened?

No the GST is ok. I was in the passenger seat of my girls Honda prelude. The road here in Rhode Island sucks when dry! But it was misty all day so the oils from the road were just sitting on top of the road. And here they use mostly asphalt so you know that stuff is slick.
We were going down a curved ramp and i think the car started to under steer and she could not stop it. So we hit the curb, which was about a 6 in. curbs, and a slammed prelude you do the math on how well the car did. But we jump that curb and went across the grass median and jumped into the other ramp which had oncoming traffic and hit the far sic curb which set off the airbags. The car stopped by teetering on top of the curb, the curb what holding the back end of the car off the ground.

Something that pissed me off was there was about 5 car in that on coming traffic and only one car stopped.

I will get on Google Earth when I get home that try to take a screen shot of the road for you guys.

Damn Jason! Sorry to hear about that. But, always look at the silver lining: It was a honda, and not your GST. Hope all is well with you and your girlfriend. Take care man, let me know when you're back in town.

I know i cant wait to get home and drive it! She let me drive it around on the days she had to work and its just not the same. The V tech is a little fun but its still not turbo.

I come home Saturday at 11:30, so i will get there at 4:30

Is anyone going to come out to the monday night meet?

I've been trying to explain that to the world for the last twenty years. And with only a well-fitted, crappy 3-point seatbelt, you would have gotten minor bruises on your hip points, and maybe one on your sternum.

Still, glad you can tell us about it. And that it wasn't the DSM.
