This is the legit most noobish question i will EVER ask in my life on tuners.

But, If i am monitoring knock on ecmlink.. and i registering .1 or .2 knock counts at like 5k rpms at 20psi.. I am fine right?

What i am concerned about is, i hear some type of not knock, but a tap.. kinda.. noise.. So i got concerned and logged a little, and my link isn't registering my motor knocking.. So am i safe? If my car was legit knocking real bad ready to go out, would it register high counts of knock?

I feel like it isn't rod knocking or anything because i have blown motors before but i just wanted to hear if my engine was healthy, but i can't tell what it is so i decided to log, and it isn't registering anything bad.

The most noob thing you did was post the question in the Newbie forum when we have a ECMLink forum specifically for questions like this. LOL

I also recommend posting a log rather than trying to describe what you see/hear, it makes for a lot less confusing typing and typically your questions are more accurately answered.

I can't post on there. =(
I bought my Dsmlink from someone local and he didn't have a password or anything.

If you could just answer me this one thing.

*Can Ecmlink read rod knock as knock on a log?

Not ECMLink.com, DSMTuners:ECMLink Tuning & Log File Advice Forum.

I'm not telling you to post on Link's forums, I'm telling you that you should have posted this in our sites ECMLink forum and I didn't answer your question because I don't know the answer.

I do know that by moving your thread out of the Newbie forum you'll be getting a lot better answers to your question though.

You might be safe, then again who knows? You need to investigate further. The engines knock sensor as logged by dsmlink is tuned to pick up a very specific frequency range, which is almost always not audible to us inside the car. If you are hearing knocking, and not registering it on DSMlink, you are not "safe" until you find out what knocking you are hearing and correct it.
