I am now the proud owner of a 95 GSX after my 92 GST decided to bite the big one last week. Found it on Craigslist for $3000 with a very recent engine and tranny rebuild (about 250 miles ago now). Sadly the previous owner decided to remove the AC and Cruise control. The heat here is pretty intense and with all the read lights I get stuck at just rolling down the windows doesn't help. The interior is in pretty rough shape with tears in both the front seats and a headliner that is falling apart, the passenger door doesn't open from the outside (damn 2G door handles) and the passenger window doesn't roll down. Outside the car is in a little bit better shape, bit of surface rust on the hood, and faded clear coat. The guy who owned it before me was a bit of a ricer and decided to add a HUGE wing on the hatch and put 17" rims with low profile tire on them but that will be changed once I have some bondo and free time. mechanically the only thing that's wrong with it is that I think it needs a new wheel bearing since once i get over 40MPH the right rear of the car starts to vibrate, at first I thought it was just the tire since the previous owner said it had cupping on the tread do to a bad alignment. I switched it out and it helped but its still there. My plan for the car is to make it my all around toy, improve the suspension so that it will handle its corners really well since everybody I know tells me I take my corners too fast:rolleyes:. I also plan on doing quite a few Horsepower upgrades to it as well so that I can take it to the local drag strip. This is my first AWD and 2G but it's my third Eclipse so I have a bit of an idea what I'm getting myself into. This will be a slow build since I don't have alot of extra money but it will be a fun build as well.

get rid of that spoiler and drop the different color scheme and it'll be a great start. thank you for saving another DSM from certain riced doom

Well I made a little progress this week, I de-riced the car and fixed the turn signal that was out. Hopefully after I get paid I'll have the exhaust hooked back up since the down pipe dosn't actually connect to the rest of the exhaust and when sitting at a red light it gets kinda foul smelling LOL. I also snapped some more pics of the car so you guys have a better idea of what I'm working with.

Side view so you can see the "new" wheels and the removed wing as well as the nice faded clear coat.

Now that Income tax is in I just ordered some new parts. new rear tires since the old ones are about bald. Finally ordered a rear hub assembly so I can get rid of the horrible noise and vibrations. As well as a VRSF 2G FMIC and a 1G uncrushed BOV. I had planed on doing more but money doesn't permit it at the moment. Stay tuned and I'll update with pics of everything once they're installed.

Well I'm a lot late in updating this but better late than never right? It ended up taking forever to redo the wheel bearing, remember to let the E-brake lose when you try to take your rear breaks off kids, but it got rid of that horrible grinding noise so I'm happy with it. Also while taking the rear wheels off to get some new tread I snapped a lug stud so I ended up having to take both hubs apart, needless to say it was not fun. I installed the VRSF 2G and quickly found out that its a giant pain to run the piping with the stock T25. after about 4 months of having the intercooler piping pop of randomly I decided to take the plunge and bought a new turbo. Thanks to DSM_love_GST I am now the proud owner of a small 16G. I must say I am loving this turbo a lot more than the T25, granted I'm still running the stock boost control solenoid so I cant say much for feeling more power but I definitely feel the power a lot sooner. About a week after I installed the turbo my alternator quit on me so I'm now running a rewired 110 amp mitsu alternator. then not long after that I had the resin top part of my radiator break off inside the upper radiator hose. Shout out to duy35 for getting me an aluminum one quickly and getting me back on the road. other than that the car is still in the same shape it was before, cruddy paint job and tore up interior. The next steps performance wise are: Turbo back exhaust, wally 255, DSMlink, and a new clutch. Most of that won't be happening till income tax season though. Maybe one day I'll get around to installing a radio
