The Purple Monster -90 Talon

I've had my build on a couple other forums. I figured I could share it here as well. I frequent the board daily but rarely post. Oh and don't mind the S/N...

Bare with me while I get everything I can dig up posted.

Well you all have been waiting here is the first page in the new car It's just pictures but trust me progress pictures will included!

* The bumper is off because it was on a trailer

Got the bay cleaned up some, ran the Harness, Dropped the engine in.

Did some more. It doesn't look like much but believe me its a lot! There was a rats nest of wiring under the dash that Had to be taken out. Rewired the car for the gauges, vacuumed the car out, put in the black rear seats, put on working hatch struts, hooked up the lever that opens the hatch. I can't remember everything but here are some quick pictures.

Ok well I did some more today. The interior is finished. I just have to mount the boost controller and turbo timer. I took the wing off and cleaned up the 2 pounds of dirt and leaves that were in there.

I also mounted up the oil cooler and exhaust. I wired up the alternator with the extended harness. As soon as I get a flywheel and sending unit I'll be set.

Well I am freaking stoked !! I had her at the track today for the first time.

First pass of the day I wanted to roll out of the hole and just get a feel for her at the track

2nd pass was the money maker of the day decided to say F it and just give her hell.

Eagle Talon AWD 12.2 run - YouTube

Enjoy. I look foward to fixing everything I found she needs and taking her back out. I know it has some 11 sec passes in it. Just have to make her do it

Ok here is a small update on the car.

During the day at the track I was trying to make some adjustments to my AFR's well no matter how much fuel I pulled it would just run rich (10.0-10.5) the entire time. My airflow readings were jacked up.

Well the trans took a shit. It will not shift at all. Well it does but it makes this lovely grinding noise. I decided to pull the trans and have a look. I found my 4 month old 2900 to be junk. The 6 puck is smeared, the pressure plate is cracked and it ate the Surface on the flywheel. Oh well time to order that twin disc again…

During pulling out the trans and swapping in different clutches a friend sits down in front of the car. He’s like hey Chris do you know your front mount is cracked? ? Yep…. I am guessing it has been cracked since I swapped everything into the car.

My logs weren’t looking the same I was getting 7 counts of knock and my afrs were always rich as hell.

So hey that 12.2 I ran isn’t too bad now

I am currently looking into a built trans. Just checking different sites and prices now. I am also going to get the twin disc again. Most likely it will be the PTT this time around.

Took the car down to Fabworx today to get the full exhaust made. Gave her a little pull and guess what it holds boost. So much it pegged out my 30psi gauge and spun 2nd gear . After I get this tranny fixed it should be alot of fun once its back together!

Well.. it's been a little bit but the car is getting some changes. As most of you know the clutch disc and pressure plate took a shit. Well I'm in search for a twin disc for a decent price now. I have 2 brand new clutch discs for it so hopefully I can find a pressure plate and plates cheap!

Now other changes.

Rereading the rules for the classes at the show down basically states if you arn't running Q16 you need a full exhaust. Well after a couple hook ups she's getting it! It will be full 3" V-band from the turbo back with custom muffler.

Some teasers. My custom muffler made curtasy of FabWorx.

Ok so the next additions will be here friday!

Full bushing kit (finally)
FP Race Exhaust Manifold
Fidanza Cam Gears
Another OEM throw out bearing
some MT-90

Also picking up a new clutch FX500 with the 4puck unsprung. ( We will see what abuse it will handle).

Yay for GRP action! Had to go looking for the rest of the broken rocker! They just look so sexy in there!

280 Exhaust cam removed!

Pair of pliers, Allen wrenches, 3/4 ratchet, filter 6an fitting oh and a Fidanza cam gear!

These are to show the comparison between the New FP race manifold and my current one Stock unported 2g manifold.

Hope you guys enjoy these pictures.

Ok I'm at work right now so I can't see the photos on photobucket. I hope I got the right ones.

Just an update. These pictures are kind of late but hey oh well. The car is now waiting on me to finish up the rear bushing, Exhaust manifold installed, and waiting for my valve cover to get finished by TCC.

Thanks! It did the 801 on 38psi. It did make some crazy number like 500ish on 6psi.

Since the new parts I have done a good bit more work. The car destroyed a
clutchmasters fx500 clutch. It is a solid 4puck.

This clutch was basically brand new and only lasted 9 passes down the 1/8 mile.

With that clutch I went 7.4@105 and 7.5@103 and various other numbers.

I have a friend Mike Ellis who is starting up a performance company and he
offered to do a head for the car to do some testing.

The head has Enginebuilder 1mm oversized valves, Bowl work, ported runners, and
Matched intake and exhaust manifolds.
Quote:

I started polishing the exhaust valves in this photo, the intakes were as
shipped.

I couldn't get the machine marks out without first turning them on the lathe with
some oiled 1500grit sand paper.

Then I buffed them with a small cone buffing wheel. I tried a larger wheel but
couldn't get into the concave part of the valve well so this worked better.

The final product.

The final product.

Mike
Twin Disc installed!

Installed ARP's, Ran on stock studs until this.

Head on!

Pictures during bathroom break!!

More port work pics and assembly

More coming.

So at 130mph these stock brakes suck balls. So I got some bigger ones .

Don't mind the single extended stud... lol. Those will be on tomorrow when I get a hold of a impact gun.

This made it onto me.

Well I got the car tuned in doing some 3rd gear pulls. And prepped the car for E-town.

E-town was great and most of you got to see the car run down the track. The first pass sucked. I was not ready for the Pro tree to light up and I dumped the clutch. This blew out my 3 bolt rear!! I didn't know until the end of the track when I left off and heard some thumping.

I got a hook up from Shawn Brown with Boost boys and Girls Racing.

He brought out his Rear axles from the laser and the rear and said Just get it down the track. They are the Pro Level axles with upgraded cups and shafts.

I decided to just buy these from him! So hopefully I will never have to get another set.

Here are my vids from E-town:

14.3@116 with broke 3bolt rear.

In car, not sure which run this was. Watch the dash .
Purple Monster - YouTube

DSM Purple Monster , Etown Showdown 09' 11.32@130 - YouTube

No one got my 11.4@131 run.

Now I am prepping the car for a cage and a new trans.

I'm going to be picking up a Dogbox from Shep with in the next 2-3 weeks.

Stay tuned for hopefully low 10s!

I'm on 30psi with the 3052, I'm going to see if it will hold 40 steady this weekend.

sooooooooooooo...

Thursday was interesting.

First pass.

Car was set to 7200 launch, 7000antilag, 22psi at the line, and 8500 rev limit.

I made it about 60' before It blew the driveshaft off the rear end. All 4 bolts that hold it onto the rear broke off.

Got that fixed and set up for another pass.

This time it was all the same settings but I did not launch off of the 2step. I eased out of the hole and hit it as soon as I started moving.

Well right before the 1/8th my front right axle broke. ?

I couldn't move at all no power anywhere.

Comes to find out that the transfercase broke, front tires hooked and snapped.

But I did coast to a 7.01 1/8th

Broke driveshaft

broke driveshaft - YouTube

Hit the 1/8th mile track near here. It was in Newport,TN

First pass the car blew the U-joint apart at the front of the driveshaft.

Second pass, We dropped the transfercase and driveshaft to do a fwd pass!

Went 9.2@97 with no traction on the hoosiers at all.

Finally got the driveshaft fixed and made a third pass. Set a new PR and found the car has way more in it!

Went 6.96@113!! 1.7 60'

So I am going to lean the car out some, it is still really rich 11.0-10.9 for E85. Hopefully next time down the 1/4 mile I can get my first 10 sec pass!

Videos are up of the passes

The Purple Monster's 6.92 @ 113mph pass. - YouTube

Purple Monster 1/8th mile 6.92@113 - YouTube

Blew another transfercase last night on the 2nd pass.

1st pass was an easy one.

60' 2.6
1/8 8.6
mph 100
1/4 12.5
mph 127

2nd pass I did an easy launch at 5500 and slipped the clutch.
I forget what the slip says exactly

I remember 1.7 60' and 12.0 @115. The transfercase broke on the launch then it felt like I was slipping the clutch... it was fwd spinning the tires.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsh6w...layer_embedded

Pictures for the enjoyment of this thread since the car is a broke piece of shit.

Inside of a dogbox:

Video made by Andrew. (ASD_GST) on most sites.
chris's video of destruction - YouTube

So I split a transfercase in half Thursday night. On street tires. And broke the yoke where the U-joint attaches. Also broke the drive shaft side where the U-joint attaches.

I am putting on a different stock drive shaft and it is currently drying from filling the carrier bearings.

I also pieced together a new 23 spline transfer case using a 22 spline and a 23 spline case. Yes you can mix and match

Video. It's blurry because the camera man didn't expect me to come up to run so fast.

Ran the car Saturday and Sunday. Both nights I broke the drive shaft. Couldn't figure out what the hell was going on until my last pass Sunday night.

Saturday running the car fwd I did

1/4mile

13.2@127
12.9@124
12.8@127
12.6@128

also pulled a 8.8@94 in the 1/8 for a all time best fwd for me. I also never broke out of the 14s fwd lol. So I guess those are some damn good time for a car not setup for fwd.

Sunday I fixed the middle and rear U-joints and got it all back together.

First pass was easy out of the hole probably a 3 something 60'

I got on it in 2nd and hit third. As soon as I hit 3rd the drive shaft exploded.

Pulled everything off and ran fwd. I tried dialing it in a little better with the suspension to hook better. But the best 60 was a 2.4 I think.

Ran 1/8th mile

10.0@84
9.0@97
9.0@99
9.1@100
9.1@101

Fun fwd day.

The last pass something broke and sounded familiar. like a drive shaft broke. Well I get to the trailer and jack it up. The 4 bolts that hold the left rear axle on broke.

So the rear has to be locking up.

I am done for now. I am going to have to wait until I get back to fix it up and freshen up the engine.

I have videos of every pass. Remember SC is a huge grudge racing area so they do not post up the times unless you ask.

big changes are starting to be made

So just a little update.

Since I'm sitting in Afghanistan I can't really do much to the car, But I can buy some parts .

I decided that I'm going to refresh the engine for the next season when I get back.

I ordered new rings and MLS head gasket. I also have new shifter cables coming as well. I broke mine the last trip to the track before I left.

I should be getting a total for my turbo tomorrow so I will be able to pay for that and have it sitting at the house.

It's a Borg Warner s374. I'm selling the 3052 setup when I get back so I can order a top mount and wastegates.

I'm also picking up a shep T-case for a damn good price as well.

Soo, I figures I should be good for some nice passes this next season.

Stay tuned .

Figured I post up. It sucks I can't work on the car but I can damn sure buy parts.

Paid for:

Shep tcase
borgwarner s374
Jmf topmount
Tial MVS wastegates
sparktech Ignition

Waiting on ets to send me a total for the core.

I'm getting their 5" thick with 3" inlet and outlets.

Update on the FMIC. Got an email from Michael at ETS. Let me know they don't have the proper 5" core to build my FMIC, so he offered to do a 6" core for just a slight price increase.

So shes going to be even beefier! Pictures of the paint process are coming too!

Just a couple pics of things that came in so far.

Tubes for the Hoosiers.

Jegs FTW!!!

Some fittings.

Bad ass E85 sticker

New Parts.

Well I sent out a mass email looking for some cams... Fail on all vendors..

But JNZ did mention that my Manifold will be done soon! Good thing I'm not in a hurry for it, I normally want my parts NOW! haha.

I also decided to change to a JMF Drag manifold, I'm just waiting around for a little to see if one pops up in the FS adds before I get back.

The body and paint work should be starting on the 1st from what Mike said! He is mounting the front mount and cutting the bumper for a good fit!

If I think of anything else new I'll post up.

Most people don't know this but here is some magic that Mike worked on my car. I blew my sun roof out one pass and was using a piece of sheet metal I bolted in.

From JAXWHITE1G:

I wish I had time to keep up with this thread. I have to many projects and little free time. Earlier in this thread there is a video of the infamous flying sunroof. I promised Chris I would take care of it and straighten her up and give her a new shine. Time flies when your in the States. I bet it's been a long wait when your in the desert. Well here goes. Several photos.

What I started with.

22gage sheet metal.

After rough cutting I did some shaping on the bench wheel.

Laying it out on the top as I wheel to try to match the curvature of the roof.

I removed the sunroof and continued shaping.

Then I taped it to the opening and drew a line around the opening.

Using the bead roller / cutter. Courtesy of Jestoy7. I trimmed it to fit.

These are a neat little tool for sheet metal fitting and welding.

Due to expansion when welding there should be a 1/6th gap in the metal so it's hand fitting and trimming from here on.

I need to grind the paint and start welding.
To be continued.

Then weld the spaces between each tack weld skipping about 5" continuing around letting the heat dissipate as you go and let it cool to the touch before you make another lap around.

There is always a lot of distortion when welding sheet metal so I will have to do a lot of planishing to get is smooth. It follows the couture pretty well so far.

My welder reached it's duty cycle and had to cool down so I stopped for the night. Will continue tomorrow.

Tonights progress report. All welded in but got a lot of distortion from the heat.

I did a little shrinking and stretching and it's looking a little better.

Now the hard part begins. YES it will have bondo in it! I will do my best to keep it to the minimum. With a max of 1/16".

Decided to pull the front cover to plan the IC install. I don't thing Zip Ties are NHRA approved for mounting a bumper cover so I'll figure some other way.

Here comes the problem. While removing the car from the trailer the engine had a hard time staying running at low rpm. Lots of steam and antifreeze smell. Figuring a head gasket is an afternoons work and a reasonable price I wasn't to worried about it until now. Here is what I found.

I haven't read this whole thread, was a new turbo in the plans? Or someone correct me and tell me how water could get into the IC without a cracked center section.

Now on to the new IC. This baby is heavy. Has to weigh 30 + lbs. Building a structure to hold it while removing enough of the radiator support so it will fit behind the cover will be a challenge.

I'm planning on having it ready for paint on the 27th.

Mike

Don't think I have ever used so much bondo at one time.

Sanded, tapped down some high spots and another light coat.

Block sanded over the small dents to expose them and ground and filled them.

Block sanded them and am about ready for primer.

I found a couple more dents so it will be a couple more days for primer.

New exhaust

This is a Dogbox center diff

Just waiting for the gear

New fuel setup.

Should do ok for now.

*******************************

First trip out on the new setup

******************************

Figured I would update this for the sake of the build thread.

Car is currently sitting at 730Awhp. 486Awtq

Went 10.1@150, 10.2@154 her first time out on the setup.

The car wouldn't be at this point if it wasn't for some amazing friends!

Adam- Hooking it up with a new punishment radiator after mine had a fight with the fans.

Corinna (Muh hunnies)- For getting the new 2nd gear for me!!

Clint- Always keeping me motivated! He actually did the hard work with finding what was needed for the wiring harness. Also helped freshen up the engine.

Mike @ Modern Automotive Dynamics (MAD)- The mad man who did the porting, head work, and degreeing the cams in.

Robbie @ Epic motorsports- For hooking it up with some dyno time!!

Babi @ Force Fed Peformance- Tuned this beast!!

And some companies that build some amazing parts!!

Shep Racing
JM Fabrications
Kiggly Racing
Fabworx fabrications
Boost Boys and Girls racing.

I was not expecting the car to be at the point it currently sits. With that being said, seeing how easily it made the power it did I want to push this thing and actually see what it has! This was just a simple moderate tune that Babi whipped up for it. It wasn't pushed or pulled to get it at 730hp. Just turned up the boost, and adjust the fuel some.

Keep your eyes out for more track days and come out if your close by!!

Thanks again guys!

Proof... as you can see it has more in it :P

Right side (468)

Right side (468)

Right side (black)

How it's sitting now....

Lexan install.

Yep...

It's pretty easy to work with.

Used NHRA Regulations minimum which is 1/8" thick.

I don't have a good camera anymore but here are the best ones I could get to come out.

She is getting pretty clean now!

Got alot done on it today.

Went to the track this past weekend had a bad time...

Tried setting the new boost controller, first pass 20psi 14.3@134 coasting from the 1/8th.
Second pass Unknown boost, AEM stopped logging 10.9@136 letting off.

Then I popped my over flow and spit water on the track while staging.

Next pass Oil pump shit during the burn out.

FML.

New gears for the oil pump are here, head is at the machine shop and a new head gasket is on the way.

Got the head back from the machine shop today. Dropped it off yesterday. It is all back together and I am just waiting on a head gasket and front main seal from JNZ Tuning to arrive!

Put it together watching TV lol.

Hit the 1/8 last night had some problems in the tune and my dumb ass was too stubborn to realize what it was. I'm still learning aem so I was lost when I was looking at it. I sat down today and noticed that my wideband was reading right and not what I thought was happening.

It was pig rich reading 5.0 - 6.0 afrs. It would fall on its face as soon as I would hit boost. Kinda like a fuel cut feeling. Ill hit the track again soon after I adjust some things.

Have to re check timing, compression, all the bolts and what not.

Only went 6.8@104. Pretty shitty to me.

Tease :P

Idle video

Ride along with me to the staging lanes!

Boosted INC: Ride to the staging lanes in the Purple Monster. - YouTube

Hit the track tonight and sorted some things out. Went by myself so no Videos.

But I will say this. It was the scariest ride ever in the car. It took me into the other lane hard and sideways in 1st. Hit 2nd and it did the same. I got it back and hit 3rd and it pulled pretty good.

Aem did not log the damn pull so I can't see what all was happening in there.

Not too bad.

Recent pics.

Not sure how much faster I can shift to 2nd..
street pull.wmv - YouTube

Play it over and over in case you miss the 1-2 shift because it is there.

New tranny is a shep stage 4. New clutch discs are in.

So parts came in today! FedEx showed up with my new Kelford 288s!

I put them in after work

And about 30 mins later...

She runs!!

Boosted INC: Purple Monster 2011 First Start up - YouTube

Got some stuff welded tonight!

Found out the water pipe is steal... oops! I put a bung on order tonight and I'll have lines and everything ready hopefully this weekend

So the last post on here was about installing the new cams and the Idle video. Well I took the car to the dyno and layed down some new numbers with out touching the tune.

The car made 801whp on a mustang dyno with less boost than the bc280s.

Boosted INC: Purple Monster 800whp dyno pull - YouTube

The next day I hit up the Import Face off @ Rockingham, NC

Caught a bit of luck where the dsm didn't break and majestic broke their driveshaft. Took 1st place for Forced Induction Pro.

1st test pass

IFO Rockingham: Boosted INC Purple Monster VS Majestic Motorsports Supra - YouTube

The next weekend I was bored and hit up the local 1/8 to play with some guys.

Had about 3 runs and then this pass happened.

Dorchester 4/10 - YouTube

Had some smoke come in the car and I thought I caught something on fire! Turned out to be the head melting out the side :dunno:

Thing made a mess!

This happened about 2 weeks before the Import Showdown. I told Mike Wholer I would be there with the car running good this year so I had to make something happen!

At the Import Showdown I was setting up my NLTS because I just realized that Raly Anti Lag on AEM is not anti lag.... Dumb ass.

The first couple passes the car wouldn't go past 7400rpm and I couldn't figure it out. Turned out that I forgot to plug in the VSS and I was racing on my launch control .

I don't have videos of those races but my 1 round Eliminations was a bye run due to a broke car.

semi finals Me vs an Auto DSM 10.3 vs 10.4 the car locked me out of 3rd and I pulled it out by a hair!

The final round 10.003@146 vs 9.7@149 Car locked me out of 3rd again. The video is posted a couple posts back.

Over all the car has not done too bad. Hopefully it will hit a 9.99999 something this year.

Hit the track with John. Broke the 3/4 shift fork coasted to a 11.9@103

I went back and looked at the slip. The only useable info was from the 60' which was a 1.5 and the 330' mark which was a 4.2sec. Shows she was at least moving compared to my other slips. My 10.1@15x was a 4.6 330'.

Video.
Chris Keagy Rockingham Phantasam street wars - YouTube

Parts will be here soon.

Broken part was a shift rail and it did not have billet forks. I'm still installing a billet fork and the clutch is going out monday to quartermaster.

Well I'm waiting on my clutch from quartermaster. So I decided to take care of some other things that I have just been putting off.

Quarter windows swapped out with lexan.

It's not completely installed. I need to grab a few longer bolts before I seal it down.

I checked a hunch today. Found the rear trans bolt pulled the threads out. I also noticed something that I knew would become a problem and show its ugly face. Crank has noticeable end play when the clutch is depressed. I knew it was happening I just wanted to blow the engine apart, which it refuses to do...

I decided before the auto swap happens that I am going to pull out my trusty street car engine and actually build a race motor. I also need to change out this cage and clean the car up some. Jake M.'s car has always inspired me with how clean it looked. I want that clean look for this thing.

I checked the 3/4 syncros and they still look new. I did have some wear marks on the hub that Tim attempted to band-aid for me. I have a replacement for that which I stole from a spare trans.

Everything else looks mint. I am also putting all the internals into a new bell housing that does not have a stripped rear bolt.

There is a race November 12-13th that I want to race at and it looks like I'll still be 5 speed for that.

John Wigger hooked me up with two input shafts and a set of main bearings last night. Hit wild wings, saved some boobies, and headed back.

Finished this last night.

I also noticed some excessive free play in my magnus shift fork so I emailed Marco with some questions about them.

I should be testing with John at Fayetteville this sunday.

I replaced the main bearings for the first time since I built this engine back in 09'. It seems to have fixed my "crankwalk" like movement on my crank. I use to be able to press the clutch and watch the crank shift... Shit still ran 10s like that.

I reinstalled the trans last night. All that is left is tracking down a new O-ring for my turbo outlet, Replace the oil return, Axles and wheels.

[/

I sourced all the parts needed to get the car back up and running and hit a test and tune with Wigger. First pass out I just checked the gears and it did not go into 3rd again.. Hmmm. I figured it was me and tried 2-3 more times and it pissed me off.

Cooled down and watched a few raced then went back to the car and made some adjustments to the shifter/ linkage. Next pass out I didn't expect the car to shift and was just testing. Easy 1-2 shift then banged 3rd, stupid thing went in and I rode it out the rest of the way. Ended with a 9.93@151.

Not too bad. I went to back it up and blew the brake line my staging brake is connected to.

These past couple days I have been tracking down an electrical gremlin. Finally found that back in the day I wired all the grounds to ground. I did not separate sensor ground or chassis ground. This causes a jumping signal from the sensors.

Now that the harness is fixed I still need to put it back in. Next month is a race at Fayetteville so hopefully it is ready to rock then.

Well... She ran like a damn champ after I figured out the wiring.

For the build sake:

This past weekend I took first place at the South East Face Off in Fayetteville, NC.

The car put down (3) 9sec passes in a row going faster each time. 9.9@151, 9.8@151, and 9.7@149.

The car deserves a break and I've decided to not touch her for December. I need a break as well and need some time to relax.

Starting in 2012 I will be doing a freshened up build.

Not a bad way to end the year.

New addition to the car

Look what the wife got me for Christmas!!!!!!

Started getting busy today. I worked all day yesterday cleaning out the garage. It was loaded with crap from Christmas and what not.

Mostly ready to pull..

Pulled it out the rest of the way.

I'm getting in a stack of stock gears to play with. Hopefully I can have a bad ass shifting trans soon.

Going to disassemble the engine tomorrow and see what all I need to replace.

I was messing with some parts last night and noticed my transfer case is in need of new bearings. I'm pretty sure the output shaft is not suppose to wiggle... ha

I might just cut the front end off of this thing while I'm at it. Mike @ Modern Automotive Dynamics is designing a front end and K member for these so I might be a guniea pig for it. He already has built control arms which are on Jeff Bush's 1g right now.

So this brings the build up to current time. Right now I'm getting ready for 2012 and making sure everything is good and ready to run.

I have been following your car for a while and it is truly an inspiration to see what it has come to especially with you being in the military. Hopefully my car can someday compare. Keep up the good work man. Glad you were finally able to nail down that transmission stuff you should be a pro at pulling those things out and rebuilding them by now haha.

I've always loved this car. You and one other person inspired me to go fourth on my car. Backyard, no sponsorship builds are doing it big this year.

Thanks man! I actually bought everything to build my own transmissions after I watched Shep and TMZ both fix a gear stack for me at this past shootout.

I'm good friends with all the guys down there. I have Babi tune the car because he knows alot more on AEM than I ever would.

Epic Motorsports shut down but Force Fed Performance is still in the same shop.

Thank you! Its hard sometimes trying to keep up and go faster but when it all works its worth it!

My friends at Force Fed performance let me use the dyno anytime I need it so I decided to represent for them on my car. I have alot of hours on the dyno with this thing.

If we're talking like that, I will have one fab shop on my car but I was mainly talking towards "go-fast" parts. Lol It's easier with a sponsor, I wouldn't mind one, but I love being able to pay for my own stuff out of my pocket and still doing what the big names are doing. Great feeling.

Mind asking me what clutch you are running or going to be running this year?

I'm still going to be on a quartermaster twin disc.

I actually need to pick up a new flywheel. The one that is on the car now is the old MAP one where the ring gear bolts on. It wears down the ring gear grooves where the bolts are and starts to bounce around.

It's not really safe ha.

If ya need new bolts that attach the clutch assembly to flywheel let me know. I had to buy 50 of them just to replace mine when I was using the quartermaster.

Holy hell why did you have to buy so many? I normally just hit up QM and they send me some for a couple bucks.
