Where can i buy a single Synchro

I have my transmission all apart and i need to buy a new second gear synchro... I have gone to the dealer, i know about TRE and Shep's trans shops, but they list just the whole set of synchros (1st-5th). I called em but TRE is closed til the 5th and Shepracing didnt answer. I was just wonderign if you know of any other place that sell synchros and if anyone eles who had the guts to try this has so advice...Thanks

Do you have like a manual or something or have you taken traiies apart b4? I need to get into my tranny but am kinda scared, I got bad syncro's. Let me know I nned like a book on a fwd tranny

If you haven't had a transmission apart before, I would REALLY get a manual. That way at least you will know in what order all the parts go.

As for the transmission, it's time consuming, but not very mentally challenging.

Where can I get a book for my 90 2.0 fwd tranny? i waould really rather save money rebuilding it myself please need info :laugh: sorry im drunk right now

Well assuming you still have the original tranny, the 2nd gear syncro part number is MD730086. That covers build dates 89-9104.3 as CAPS lists it. It’s the same for 1st gear too so by two maybe? You can get them here Mitsubishiparts.net

sweeet thanxs.....and its not that hard to take trannys apart(dunno about togather yet), vfaq and the manual CD makes life easy...
