difference between 6bolt/7bolt tranny

[really slow FWD]

heres the question the auto tranny is about gone and i need a replacement. got an uncle who works at a junk yard and said he could get me one. so i need to know how do you tell the difference between the 6bolt and 7bolt tranny without removing the tranny. (car is a daily driver) if this helps my tranny pan has 12 bolts. thanks for any advice, help, info.

the only way i know if is by looking to see how many bolts are on the fly wheel. I think on dms.org you it tells you what month they started the 7 bolt. Check there that way all you would need to do is look at the build date of the car

No 7bolt came around 92.5 I believe
