95 Talon TSI awd tranny in 98 GSX?

Could I use a tranny out of a 95 tsi awd talon in my 98 gsx?

It is a "bolt-in" but it would NOT work! Transfer case and rear end diff. ratios are different from 97+!!!

My friend did the opposite: a '97 tranny in his '95 car and had to swap in a matching transfer case and rear end.

As long as they are both 5 speeds, the 95-99 Rearends are all the same.
However to use a 95 tranny in your car you will need a 95-96.5 transfer case. Check out my thread just a few below this one.
