I have a 2g(95), and I have an upgraded(level 10) Automatic. I know that I need to run an aftermarket, or external trans cooler, so two questions. One the stock one on the driver side, will that work in con-junction with another? Second I have two radiatiors, one with trans cooling lines going into the bottom, and another that doesn't. I bought the second of dsmtrader, and found out that although it looks identical it is not. It doesn't have the spot for the transmission cooling lines to go in. How big of a trans cooler should I run? Is it ok that I am not going to use the transcooling circulation on the radiator? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So I found out that there is two different styles of radiators for the 2g, that would be the manual and automatic radiators. Make sure you specify that part when you are looking in the future....

So nobody has answered my question on the second part though. My transmission cooler, there is a stock one on the driver side, do I need another, or should I get rid of that one and use a larger one. If so where do I mount it, and does it need fans? Does anyone have an automatic transmission temp. guage?

Thanks

Can you use an aftermarket cooler with the integrated radiator one?.. Absolutely! If you do use the auto radiator make sure that you put the aftermarket cooler AFTER the OEM one (as in: trans<OEM cooler<aftermarket cooler). I have one on my Formula and it made a huge difference in shift quality.

Where to mount it? I would just put it in front of the radiator. You don't need a fan if it has adequate air flow.

I also have a trans temp gauge in the Formula. It really isn't needed. In fact I am taking it out. If you like to have a plethora of gauges then go for it.
