ok, check this out, for a while the car had no problems. then it would pop out of first gear, and would do so more often when you drove it for long periods of time. now it pops out all the time, i cant even move in first gear. any ideas? or do i have to open that bastard and rebuild it?

you have checked detent springs thats too obvious
did it pop out of second ?

I got the same prob... but in 2nd... I have no mo 2nd... What are you taking about blkvr4? Cuz I am convinced I have to rebuild..... Please tell me otherwise

yep you have to rebuild, just did mine, the guy showed me it's a clip in the syncro's that pops out and you can't "grab" the gear

Could be something real simple... Someone I know locally, had the car popping out of a gear (2nd?) and there was a loose bolt or 2 on the tranny...
