2nd gear grind w/new clutch

Okay....i have been experianceing grinding into second gear for the last few months. I knew my clutch was going so I just attributed it to that. However, i just recently replaced my clutch with the ACT2600 and the grinding has gotten worse. It seems as though both down shifting and upshifting into second grinds regardless of weather/rpm's. I did some reasearch and someone mentioned something about syncros. Could this be the problem and if so what does check/replacement involve?

To inspect/replace synchros, you will need to pull apart the transmission.
