how much $$ for 5sp tranny rebuilt ??

Thinking about buying a 2nd gen GSX i saw. Good clean car, only problem is that 4th gear pops out.

Anyone who knows or has expirience with this problem...

I know i'll probably have to rebuild the transmission. I know it depends on where you get it done at ,... but will you all just give me some numbers so that I know who much to expect if I were to purchase this car?

figure around maybe $700-$900 for a basic rebuild and then add on any "extras"

For a bench (you bring them the trans) rebuild this is what I have:

My local shop: $875 + parts
BM Trans: $1100 + any non normal parts needed

my rebuilt was 2200 @ tre -- but thats loaded with everything incluc a quife @ 975 bucks
( and thats me bringing them the trans )
