Knocking/Ticking

I can hear a knocking/ticking sound comming from the tranny when the car is parked and out of gear, any idea on what it could be? I am pretty sure that is where the noise is comming from.

i would like to know that same thing. I just put a rebuilt tranny in and it still does it, just as it did before. I am thinking it is something else near the turbo.

Sounds like one of the bearings is shot. Tom Sawyers 99GSX used to do it quite often as well. He said it was one of the bearings though he wasnt sure at the time and im not sure what he had done to fix it. Might give him a holla
