Hey guys,
i have been told that for my FWD 2g GST with low 13 sec goal and high 12's i should get an ACT 2100 pressure plate and clutch. But what about the clutch? whaty type does ACT bring? wich is better for daily use?
I was recommended 50% asbesto and 50% bronze, that 100% bronze is bad.

please clear a few things up and explain what 6-puck and such mean and wich is better for daily driver. Also of what material are ACT clutches made.

Thanks

no offense to you, but you post at least 1 stupid question like this every day, if u had just looked through the posts on the first page, cause god forbid u actually use the advanced search to find the answer to ur question, u would have seen plenty of topics explaining why u do not want a puck race disc if ur car will ever see a stop light, unless u want to replace ur clutch every 3 months

you want an organic street disc, its your choice weather u want a 2100lb or 2600lb pressure plate, reagrdless the street dics will be the same, ur not going to get a choice of what type or percent of material the disc is made of, if u dont like what the act discs are made of then ur option is buying another companys clutch
clutchmasters makes nice kevlar clutches, my friend loves them on his 2g fwd, he had a race disc once, lasted less then 4 months, broke a transmission, and was a crap load of trouble to drive in traffic or at low speed fo any reason

yeah it is pretty stupid since almost no thread refers to materials or pucks.

thanks anyways

im not trying to be a dick or anything, but the other day ur thread was about "do i only want a pressure plate", now u want a race disc that u have no need for, if u use advanced search u can find threads that give the info u are asking about
race discs are no good for every day driving, they are not ment for taking off slowly at a traffic light, or parking, they are made for fast heavy launches, and u arent going to be happy doing any daily driving if u get a race disc, iv have driven one on a gst and its not something u want to deal with

u can easily run 12s on a street disc, any act w/street disc will be fine for your car and goal, if u really want something else the clutchmasters "stage 3" 2500lb w/street disc is a good option, they make their clutches out of a kevlar composit or something that grabs nicely on a fwd

that's cool man, i'll keep my post to a minimum

Thanks for the info

What would you reccomend me? 2100 or 2600?

id probally recomend a 2600 w/street disc, it will hold a little more power and grab a little harder then a 2100, thats what i have on my car, and what most people here have on theirs
