Well i posted before about how i installed my ACT2600 and that it wouldnt disengage. Well i jacked up the car and took off that rubber cover on the fork and looked in. Well the Fork is about 1/8" away from the bell housing when the TOB finnaly touches the PP. Then when the clutch is just barley pushed in the Fork hits the housing and thats the end of that. I also noticed that fork sits toward the passenger side of the car when it was all installed. I dropped the tranny and looked over everything again!! Well the only thing i can notice is that the Fork had like 1/2" play up and down on the pivot ball, Should it be able to move that far or is it pretty warn down?

if you replace the fork and pivot ball I dont think you have to shim it, actually i think you might even make it worst. I remember reading that if you shimmy it too much the pressure plate blades push up against the disk scrapping it, not good, just make sure when you bolt the tranny back up the shift fork is centered or slightly towards the driver's side. I put one washer on mine then bolted my tranny up and realized I needed a second. so yeah mine was pretty worn out, im going to change it the next time I do my clutch again. Good Luck getting youre car up and going......

get a fork from taboospeedshop.com that is where i got mine along with an extended slave cylinder rod and i am extremely pleased.
