I'm upgrading my clutch and i wanted to know why a plastic throwout bearing is sold to replace the metal bearing. is a plastic bearing better than a metal one? Also what is the braided clutch line for and is it worth it? Thank you in advance. Peace.

The plastic lined bearing doesn't eat into the input shaft like the metal one can... so the plastic one is recomended. The braided line has no chance of expansion.. where as old rubber ones can expand & cause a mushy pedal & engagement issues.

Never buy a metal sleeved one, trust me, after some time, you spend a lot of time figuring whats worng with your clutch engagement - the sucker wont slide there and will stick.

Wish we could use the EVO VI release bearing...
