what is the difference between the W5m33 and the FSM22 transmission?

i called autozone for a 5 spd for my 99 GS and they said they have both of these transmissions,
the W5m33 is $1700 with core
and the fsm22 is $800.

which one do i have an why is one so much cheaper? thanks.

Different transmissions are not interchangeable. Note that 2G transmissions are interchangeable with 1G transmissions of the same model number, but 2G transmissions have different internals and are generally considered to operate much better. Usually only minor modifications are required to fit a 2G transmission to a 1G engine.

So the W5M33 is the AWD, and the F5M22 is the FWD, but only for the 90-94, the 95-99 maual trannys used the F5MC1


SO ARE THE F5M22 AND THE F5MC1 INTERCHANGABLE?
