well i have a new(used) tranny on...and a new 2600 act clutch but now the car will not go into gear...I am going to re try to bleed my slave cylinder and hope i have a few air bubbles lurking around inthere....ohter then that if that doesnt work i am going to replace my slave cynlinder and if that doestn fix it master cylinder becuase i canot think of anything else...I did not change the clutch fork but can that be put in backwords becuase i didnt even really look at that, i just figure it was fine since it was in placeOMG ...anyone else have this problem before...? thanks

How much freeplay do you have in your clutch pedal? If the pivot ball is extremly worn down it could affect how far you clutch will disengage. If that's the cause, you can either replace the ball or just shim it. I'd recommend replacing the fork and the ball.

im having the same problem. check the cluch slave and mastercylindes for leaks and adjust the master cylinder all the way out. if that dosent work there is a part of the pedal asembly that can wear. if that looks good then your cluch fork is probly worn or bent. ie out comes the trany agein(awd's dont drop the transfer case on your head it hurts) . i havent checked my peadle asembly yet cause im not exactly shure what part it is. can some one help me out with this and give me a picture or :dsm: part number.

i talked to act teck and he said everything had to line up perfect. also if you have an after maket fly wheel the changes the step* that can f you up to.

*how close the presure plate is to the crank shaft compared to stock

well i put in a new clutch fork and mine works now but it still grabs pretty much right off the floor...But atleast it works...ill still do some tweaking with it, Thanks for the help...im getting good at my tranny/clutch jobs now onmy car...4th time this month ive done it :D oh well...its all in good fun

Glad to hear you got it working man. Was the pivot ball not worn down? if it's engaging right off the floor you probably have a lot of freeplay at the top of the pedal, and that can be adjusted out.

yea the pivot ball was fine...But yea i havea lot of free play after it grabs...its basically grabbing right off the floor...I will just have to adjust some stuff and get it to wehre i like...but basically i just like the fact my car goes in Gear:p Thanks for the help
