Questions about the spool????

i have some question and i wanted to know if any body has the tre center diff spool kit. does it take out all the gears inside the center diff and just go inside are do u need them to. are there thing bad about them i heard that welding the center diff eats up cv shafts just wondering if this did the same . how strong are they as in what kinda launching can you do on it before it breaks --- any one that has some help ful info on them please reply cause i broke my center diff and was thinking about picking up one of these if it was worth it . thanks and i tried calling them but was not that big of a help.

I don't have one, but I called them before and they said the spool was stronger than a welded center diff, which is stronger than a stock diff, which is stronger than an old worn out diff. The spool acts just like a welded diff when driving, same drivability issues/ non issues.

I launch hard and drag race and I plan on getting the spool soon. I just hope I can save the $ before the center diff gives up.

Do you have a 4bolt? if not dont get the spool I made the mistake and I have broke two 3bolts and am now saving for a 4bolt. The spool makes the car faster it will launch so much harder but there will be alot more tirespin if you dont have sticky tires I also broke my driveshaft off the mounts. It does make the car turn weird but its easy to live with kinda like driving a truck in 4wd.

no i have a 3 bolt and i was not going to be launching super hard til i upgraded to a 4 bolt but thanks for the help but i need more info cuase i really need to get my car runing and what kinda wierd is it when it turns

Have you ever driven a fourwheel drive truck before? If so its like that, if not ask a budy with one to let you drive it around and do some slow turning. You will see how the wheels dont want to turn and it kinda hopes or the tires chirp. That is how it is, if you are one of those people who cant live with a slow spooling turbo or no air its probally not for you but if you are hardcore and dont give a shit about gear noise or bad turning at slow speeds get it and you will love it.

well i guess it is for me cause i don't have an a/c is out and thats what they make windows for and slow spooling turbos don't bother me thats why i have nitrous. but one last question does it just go inside the center diff case and is easy to do i already have my tranny out and the center diif

Its vary easy to do, just drop it in put some bolts throught the holes int he side of the center diff put the top back on put the center diff back in and put the vce on the end of the output shaft. Its very simple.
