On a scale from 1 - 10 how f##ked is my tranny? I am assuming I will need to replace the transfer case because the teeth are so torn, but do you think the output shaft will need to be replaced too?

Ya I know I should replace both the output shaft and the transfercase... but I'm looking at only having enough money to replace the Tcase at the moment.

I wonder if it will hold up until next winter until I can have a chance to replace the shaft. I know I'll probably have to replace the tcase again at that point, but I don't think I have much of a choice.

LOL it really could have used a bit of grease eh....

The weird thing is that this car only has 180kms on it and it was bone stock when I bought it last year. Unless the old lady that had it before me was sidestepping the clutch I'm not sure how these got so bad.

I looked around and an output shaft is 300 bucks! After buying that and the input shaft for the Tcase I'm looking at probably around 600 dollars. I really can't afford that, but I can afford a $60 Tcase which is probably going to be worn out to begin with.. Hell, maybe I'll just put two tubes of JB Weld in there when I put it back together :hellyeah:

Don't worry, I was definitely joking about the JB weld. My bad, I thought the shaft that mated to the Tcase was called the output shaft.

Found a good T-case... now I'm looking for an output shaft. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Still looking for both a T-Case and a Centershaft... Can anyone help me out?
