Im sure that this has been covered before, but i couldnt find the info that i was looking for so here goes.

I have a 93 Eclipse GS with an automatic. I found a 91 lazer, with a little front end damage, blown head, but has a 5 speed. I have been offered this lazer for $250
Will the 5speed from the 91 fit in my 93? What else needs to be changed other than the tranny, pedal assembaly, computer? what about wireing harness? Has anyone done this. any good sites on doing the conversion? If this 91 dont work, they have a 93 5speed, but i want to make sure it has all the other goodies that i will need for the conversion.

thank you for your help

I have a broken tranny right now  I was told that the only additional item needed to put a 90 or 91 tranny in my 92 is the starter. There is no computer for a 5 spd. You can leave your automatic computer in, no need to change the computer. The engine computer has no management for the tranny in it. As far as the wiring harness, the only wiring that would need to be ran would be the reverse switch for the backup lights. Anybody confirm this ?

make sure the engine in the lazer is the same as yours...if its turbo it wont fit...and the 1.8 tranny wont fit on the non turbo 4g63....other then that it should work
