Drivers side axle carrier bearing with ac delete

I was wondering if anyone made a spacer or something to fill the void between the block and the mounting bracket for the carrier bearing on the drivers side axle?

Most people make their own spacer or use washers.

See. My 90 block doesnt need that bracket there. I really just bolt in the intermediate shaft bracket to the back of the block. However when I told a friend he didnt need it he showed me he did.
I have a 90 (Vr4?) Motor. Can anyone add anything to this, as I am curious.

I do not believe anyone makes a spacer. When I removed my A/C, I just used a cut off wheel to cut off part of the A/C bracket to keep as my spacer. You need it, otherwise it wont be long until the bolts for the carrier snap off in the block.

Isn't there something on here about using FWD axles? Or do they have the carrier bearing too?

FWD uses a long axle. No intermediate shaft. There is an OEM spacer that was used in other mitsu cars that needed a spacer for the intermediate shaft, and I'm pretty sure the part # 19Eclipse90 posted is that part.

I think 19Eclipse90 is correct, there is a factory part number for a spacer for that location. I know because I found it once and ordered one, it currently resides on my car, and I bought it from a Mitsubishi dealer so I know it to be.
