Hey guys, my clutch is slippin like crazy so its time to fork up some cash once again to keep the Talon runnin. I don't plan on doing much racing or anything but I don't want my clutch wearing out prematurely. I'll probably be installing a 16g with supporting mods in about a year or so. I'm just curious as to which option you guys would go with.

A.
ACT 2100 no warranty on labor
Parts and labor = 623

B.
Stock Clutch 2yr/24000 warranty
Parts and labor = 410

C.
Stock Clutch 5yr/75000 warranty
Parts and labor = 470

I am a vendor/User of ACT products and I can tell you this much, their basic "upgrade" clutch kits are awesome. I put one on my 2000 Civic Si when my clutch started to go and let me tell you I could not believe how strong it was. I had it installed by Jackson Racing in Westminster, CA and when I picked up the car I stalled it twice backing out, more importantly I could have hired a personal injury lawyer had someone hit me that hard. I was at about 190 -195 HP to the wheels at that point. My feeling is go with the ACT and have it installed by a GOOD shop. In case you are wondering the pedal pressure is a little tighter than stock but not too bad.

If you can get a clutch warranty for 75k miles, hell yeah get that. You will probly go through 4 of them with a big16g tho. And they might void the warranty because of that..

Or install it yerself and be a man.

I just don't want to be a man with a headache and a clutch that isn't installed correctly. :D

Thats why you do it yourself. Alot of shops wotn get you flywheel resurfaced, they wont align your cluthc and will say hydraulic clutches dont need to be aligned, BS.

GO ACT CLUTCH.....

Do not settle for stock since you have this opportunity. The general rule is:

FWD: 2100
AWD: 2600

But since your not a serious racer and dont plan truely significant mods, a 2100 will do good on your AWD.

Thanks for all the replys guys, I ended up gettin the 2100. And I've got nothing but good things to say about it. Haven't launched it or nothing yet, still breakin it in, but the feel is unbelievable. Maybe its just because I haven't driven on a new clutch in a while but it feels like a brand new car.
