[RESOLVED] Bell housing sealant
What do you guys use to seal your bell housings? I've used black rtv before but would like something better for the new build.
Maybe if there is a trans shop vendor, you could give me your .02.

Are you talking about sealing the bellhousing to the block? Why would you need to seal the bellhousing? There is no reason to do it.

.. The bell housing comes apart into 3 sections. You need to seal them together when you have your transmission apart or else you will have a nice transmission fluid leak.

I use any of these three:
*Permatex Ultra Grey
*Permatex Ultra Black
*Right Stuff Black
All three are very good.
