Trans output seal/shaft seal

I was changing my clutch when i noticed the driver side output seal (the one inside the trans) was leaking trans fluid so i decided to change it but my QUESTION is: Are both the passenger side and the driver side seals both the same? the part i am talking about it should be MD 707184. I am having a hard time figuring this out cause i have an aftermarket one for the passenger side but it doesnt seem to work for the driver side.
