welding a crack in transfer case...

So for the past couple weeks my wifes n/a automatic 95 talon has been leaking tranny fluid all over. Finally get it on a hoist and take the bitch apart (the car) and we thought it was just the output shaft bearing leaking, BUT NO, we found a crack in the transfer case. Instead of going out and finding a new one, you think its ok to bring it to a shop as one entire piece and just have them weld over it?

Its a car recall for that, take it to a dealership, even if it has been done they have to service it. Check vfaq.com for ore info.

your wifes n/a automatic 95 doesnt have a transfer case.

*Unless someone made an AWD 420a, or put a n/a 4g63 in an AWD car.* And either scenario is unlikely.

It's a cracked bell housing from the transmission bolts being run loose.

Yes, you can have it welded.
