How fast have you gone with an ACT 2600?

As the tread tittle says, how fast have you gone with any ACT 2600? It's does not matter what dics you used. Please give your tire type, tire size, turbo used, Power made and torgue made if know, and a description of how it held up on that pass. Also how long it's been in use at that power level.

Thanks,
Ronald Hamlin

I've run my 2600/street disk combo for over a year, but recently had the disk rebuilt when my TOB grenaded. My best time is <<<---- I run 225/50/16's on an 8" rim with 3 different tire brands, lol..... I usually run 20-25 psi on the street but on my 11.2 pass I was on 28psi. I drive the car daily and have yet for this clutch to slip on me. I run a Holset HX-35 Turbo which comes from a Dodge Diesel pickup truck, mated with a Bullseye bolt on housing. DSMLink estimates my hp/tq around 460/380 at 28 psi on 110 octane.

I went 10.123 on ACT 2600 with a street disc. I had ~30 passes (all in mid to low 10 sec range), when I parted out the Green Machine. At that time my clutch disc still looked like NEW! I am now using it in my daily driver (6k, so far).

But a lot of this has to do with your driving style. I am very good on my clutch (read: do not slip it much). I have also seen people destroy a perfectly good street disc in just ONE LAUNCH! So your result might vary...

My god, when did you part out the green machince? I have followed your post very closely thru the years. Your setup, and the NABR intake manifold test is what made me get rid of the Bj's intake manifold and get the Venom. I hope the lack of torgue will save the driveline aswell, what are you driving now?

Its last run was almost 2 years ago (June 05). I tried selling it whole, but that never works. So I parted it out in the Fall of '05 (I even tried selling the rolling chassis here). A local New England DSMer has it now.

My low torque must have been a big contributor to my drivetrain's longevity. And Venom intake along with a relatively laggy FP3575 were the major cause of such low torque!

Overall, I much rather make power through RPM rather than torque. It is much healthier for your drivetrain. So no 2.4l strocker for me

I agree since I built the car for street/ drag racing. Would you stay with a gt30 or move on to an T-3 /sc63? It's either that or spray the car which I know the clutch won't be able to handle.
