I need help. I have a 98 GST that blew its motor.. I bought a new one (6 bolt awd). I got a 6 bolt fwd flywheel and new clutch/pressure plate. Everything spins fine, crank and input shaft but when you bolt the two together the crank will no longer spin. Now if you pull the engine off the bellhousing a little bit it'll spin fine and if you put the car in gear it'll spin the wheels when the crank is turned but AS SOON as you bolt them together..... seized.

Now I've done a good amount of research and I've played around with this thing as much as I can in 20 degree weather but I can't figure it out..

I was reading the awd flywheel is smaller and I was thinking maybe thats what it needs but.. it doesnt make any sense to me since the trans is fwd. Help, its cold out.

and the only other thing I can think of is maybe the flywheel bolts were not tightened properly, but they were! but I'm going to check them anyway because I'm at a dead end here
