1G-specific Clutch problems/ harsh noises- need opinons.

Bere with me here. To being I just Finished my 6bolt build motor swap two months ago, and have about 1300miles on the new engine in the car. I am using the stock tranny/ clutch.
Well the past two week ive been hearing this chattering sound when i pressed down the clutch pedal ( even if I only pressed it in a little bit )
It would go away whenever the clutch wasnt being pressed. Well i replaced my master and slave clinders due to some shifting/ fluid leaking problems and adjusted the pedal correctly.
Shifted fine after that point but the chattering when the clutch was pressed didnt go away.
Last night was driving my car and took off hard in first ( but not launching it )
I hear a nasty sound and immediately let off and then it wouldnt let me put it back in gear and I ended up having to push the car out the road and get it towed.
As I was waiting for the tow truck it didnt want to crank in gear and only in neutral and when I tried to push the clutch down it immediately began making a nasty harsh squeeling sound coming from the tranny and the engine was trying to cut off like it was binding up somewhere.
A friend told me sparks came from under the car ( open flywheel cover )
I had a friends dad who works at a tranny shop listen to the sound today and he thinks its either from a throw out bearing that went out, or a bad/ or improperly installed pressure plate . Any ideas, i hope this didnt harm my engine/ tranny/ or new fidanza light weight 9lb flywheel...?

Before I have the tranny teared down i want to get an idea of what you guys may think the culprit is and what after effects or anything because if it was an install problem i need to be able to point fingers at the engine installers and have a strong defense on the situation. Thanks

The first thing you said about the chattering sounds like a TOB. Not sure what that may have caused, if it's related at all. Either way, you'll just have to take it apart and have a look at what's messed up. It's kind of hard to install a pressure plate wrong, unless you don't torque it to the right specs. Good luck with it.

I am going to go with TOB myself. Did you use the Mitsu plastic sleaved one or an aftermarket TOB?

i dont know which ones in there i didnt install it, but its a stock clutch and most likely a stock tob.
I ment to say could the clutch plate, or something clutch related have been installed backwards? and if a tob broke or did whatever could it have possibly messed up anything else in there ( namely the flywheel )? And what would the sparks my friend seen coming from under the tranny when the clutch was depressed have been? to me id think something rubbing or bouncing on and off the flywheel. Im wondering what couldve all gotten possibly messed up from this? I wont be able to drop the tranny for another week so the cars just kind of sitting there.

Ok just dropped my tranny today to do a clutch job
after its been down for almost a month from strange clutch related problems
and immediately realized that the tranny was about a quarter to an half and inch seperated from the block. Not only was it seperated but the ear ( what my friend called it)
that the tranny bolt ( nearest to the slave cylinder ) was broken OFF the block itself.
Which this Really isnt good because ill only have three bolts to bolt my tranny back up to the block with. What do I do?

Sorry I dont have any pics to upload of it to be more clear on what im talking about.
So Ive discussed the possibitilites of welding it back on with a friend but
dont know if that will hold and probably will need a carefully done specific weld job,
and thought of making bracketing to keep the tranny flush onto the block or something?

Any ideas, has anyone had this issue and ever welded it back on, or made some support
or even just only ran with 3 tranny bolts?

I just got this 6bolt engine rebuilt and only have about 1200 miles on it and theres no
way I have money , time, desire to replace another f&*(&&* block.
What do I do....

People have broken them before, and they can be welded back on. I would get somebody who is a welder by trade to do it though.
