Alright I installed a clutch about 2 weeks ago,I broke it in till 500 miles. When I race it from a stop and launch it once I shift into second gear it slips a little bit.Could this be because I need to adjust it.It seems when the car is cold the car will start to move when I let the clutch about 1/4 of the way out. After I start drivin for awhile it takes till the last llittle bit till it will move.I adjusted the rod that comes out of the master cylinder and turned it in two turns.Let me know what you think.

the problem with the clutch pedal weight adjusting could be a few things. bleeding the clutch CORRECTLY, master/ slave cylinder problem, RRE has some write ups on this here: http://www.roadraceengineering.com/clutchandflywheeltech.htm towards the bottom of the page.

Also you said you repalced the clutch, but what type did you replace it with. Did you get the flywheel resurfaced?

Where is SLC are you? I live about 1100 S West temple. I could look at it sometime. Are you on utdsm.org?

I replaced it with a centerforce dual friction.I did get my flywheel resurfaced also.I live out in south jordan right off 10600s and the freeway..I have tried to get setup at utdsm but I never get an email back.I tried adjusting the rod on the master cylinder but it did not seem to help. This sucks cause the clutch is brand new and its already starting to slip.It will only do it if I launch it from a stop and when I shift. That is why I think it just needs adjusting.

PM me your email addy and I will forward that to the utdsm mods. Who machined your flywheel? and did you doublecheck it? You have a PM.
