I have a 2.4 getting finished for my car.I plan on an FP3065.I have stock trans and center diff.
I will keep my rev limit likely at 7500 to 8000 tops.
I will be on street tires the couple of times might go to the track.

Questions will the stock trans break for sure with the 3065?Did you break yours and at what boost level mods etc.

Do you think I could run the 3065 down to 10 or 15psi until I got a better build trans and 4 spider diff? I can't afford everything this year the trans would have to be next year.

So if you have been successfully running a big 3065 or similar sized turbo with stock trans and center diff would like to hear from you.

If you don't wheel hop you probably won't break the center diff. Your power output and torque will break the 3-4 hub slider eventually if running race gas. You need to upgrade to the heavy duty early 3rd/4th gears and matching hub/slider. If you keep the boost down and don't try power shifting the trans it should hold up if it's in good condition now.

The 2.4 is hard on the gearbox, it's works better to go fast with a 2.0 as it doesn't make as much torque, but you can spin it higher and use the gearing to your advantage. Torque it what breaks transmissions and ships clutches, but it's more fun to drive on the street.

I got the energy suspension roll stop mount inserts.I didn't want the much rougher prothane full engine set. Are the rollstop replacements going to stop wheelhop?I won't be tracking the car much at all after first 11.5 run.No cage planned for it and pretty sure nhra rule is 11.5.

I mean wheelhop from the rear wheels. I only use the front insert also, but getting rear wheelhop is still possible depending on the track and launching technique. Use a street disk and slip the clutch on the launch.
