I know this topic had been beat to hell..i even did a search to find out if anyone has actually contributed that the ACT 2600 caused their CW..but to no avail i have had no answers..

I know my clutch is starting to go..Now i have a 2g AWD. The big questions is 2100 or 2600. Everyone is so afraid of CW..i personally say if its going to happen then let it happen. I am really starting to get into drag racing and moding my car. In the spring and summer i am going to be going to the track almost every week. I want a clutch that can handle the beating i am going to give it. Now the 2600 seems like the way to go..but everyone says that on a 2g this will more then likely cause you to walk. So whats up? Should i get the 2600 and just say fuk it and know that i might be a ticking time bomb? Or should i play the safe guy and go 2100..but also feel like the clutch i have isnt going to be able to keep up with the punishment i am going to throw at it? Is there anyone on these forums that i can honestly say that the 2600 on a 2g is a bad ideal? Any help on this would be awesome.

What should i go..arg decisons decisons...

The 2600 is a bad ass clutch and you should have no issues with your use of it. The problems some of us have had in the past is due top bad fly wheel surfacing or install issues. I have been dealing with ACT for a number of years and sold hundreds of their clutch packs with no complaints. I have just installed a Clutch Master stage 3 1/2 on my 2nd gen GST, and there is no way I will ever run an ACT again. My Clutch is awesome and after I broke it in, It hold the power run after run all weekend long. Check out Mantaray Motorsport, they have the best price I was able to find and they have a huge stock of all stages. Clutch master cost a bit more but you can even see the differance in the workmanship of the disk. Ask for Eli and he will hook you up. Tell him Ian sent you. Good Luck. 888-5ice-man
