Feels like the brakes are on when I turn at slow speeds

I just finished swapping in a used transmission and transfercase. They both came out of a 93 awd and the guy I bought them from said they had no problems. Now, if I am at a complete stop and I turn the wheel all the way in either direction and try to move the car forward or backward it feels like there is something dragging, almost like the brakes are on. The car does move, but stops pretty quick. It doesnt continue to roll and then gradually come to a stop... it stops as if I hit the brakes. If the wheels are straight the car rolls fine. Also, I did a couple U-turns and I can feel a sort of clunk, clunk, clunk and the tires dont seem to be turning at the same rate (front to back.)

So I am thinking I might have bought a transmission with a welded, or a broken center diff? But I dont know what either of those feels like so someone help me out!

Thanks

If you dont mind how much was it for the total part cost since you did the work right?

its welded, mine is the same way, the only problems you have to look out for are u-turns, they are going to take you +1 lane than before, it is good for getting power equally distributed between all wheels but sucks ass for slow turns, do some hard launching now that you have a wanna be quafe!
