Well to start I have ACT 2600/XACT flywheel, stainless steel line, new slave and newer master cylinder. I have had this setup for a year or so.

The other day my car started shifting a little "stiffer" so to speak. A little harder to get into gear. I checked my adjustment on the master cylinder rod and it was all the way out so I couldn't try to adjust it out any further. Well I thought it was just in my mind so I ignored it. Well tonight it was pretty much impossible to shift into any gear so I drove home without the clutch just rev matching it. :notgood:

Well I got home and bled the system of air completely. Now the car won't even go into gear. If I start it in gear it just starts to roll. I checked to see if the slave was moving and it seemed to be moving normally with no problems. I checked for leaks in the master/slave and everything checked out.

I really don't know what else to check. Like I said I have had this setup for awhile so I don't think the flywheel step has anything to do with it. The slave is pushing on the fork very hard so I don't think the slave/master is out either. I mean I'm really confused on this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

ALOT of people have been having similar problems lately including myself. If you have did all of that I would get an extension rod for the slave cylinder, and if that doesn't work replace the clutch pedal assembly. All of the posts I have seen show that this was the only solution to this problem. One of the members on here just did a write-up on it w/ pics. Search for "Any requests for 1g clutch pics"

The clutch pedal assembly is fine. Where do you get the longer rods. I have forgotten.

Well I'm starting to think I might have a bad slave . My slave is a cheap autozone and a person i talked to said they have had problems with them.

i'm having the same problem...I have a act 2600, the master cylinder was bought new, about 8 months old, and slave was put in with the clutch about 2 years ago....i bled my lines, didn't work..... when the clutch is pressed, the slave pushes a substantial amount....the car still feels like a stock clutch with little pressure.....any help would be greatly appreciated...

Well I fixed it. I ended up pushing the slave into the cylinder the opposite direction it moves and now everything is cool. I'm guessing the pressure wasn't equalizing or something like that. If anyone has a guess why I am all ears.
