I need to know the difference between the turbo and non turbo transmissions. My FWD turbo one broke and i can get a 1.8L 5 speed from mitsubishigrave.com. Thanks :rocks:

I have the same problem. My turbo trans is shot and i bought a 1.8 liter trans (the guy who sold it to me told me it was a 2.0) and it wont work it doesn,t fit over the flywheel. Im trying to find a turbo trans but havent had any luck yet. :talon:

1.8 trans = one weak ass trans. Its just like a none turbo 2.0l trans vs the turbo trans. Turbo trans is much stronger and can handle more of a beating, the none turbo ones will snap.

I have a turbo fwd trans for sale from a 90 talon,,
Shifts smooth plus new centerforce dual friction clutch...
pm me if interested

I heard somewhere that the nt's also had a bigger flywheel than the fwd turbos. This would move the starter location. Not sure how true that is though.

the 2.0L non turbo and turbo trannys look the same outside. Internally is probably a different story, im about to put a non T trans in my turbo car. We'll see how she pans out, its only money and time right? :rocks:
