Ill get right to the point. The stock clutch on the GVR4 is on its way out. So, Im going to either buy an ACT 2100 or 2600, and have the flywheel resurfaced as well. My problem is deciding between which variation of clutch.
Ive been told that I should get the 2100 because my power goal is only ~350hp and I would almost certainly break an axel (GVR4s are 3 bolt stock) if I went with the 2600.
On the other hand, Ive been told that because the GVR4 is AWD the 2600 is the better choice (was told 2100s suffice for turbo FWD) and that I would be limiting my capability if I settled for the 2100.
So, what do you think? Is the risk of breaking an axel that great if choose the 2600? I dont drag the car. I dont launch it now, but I cant say that I wont launch it occasionally once the new clutch is in. Can someone confirm or put to rest my clutch fears?
