Okay the other day when I went to pass a car I left the car and fifth gear so I wouldnt waste gas by downshifting, when the car got to around 3000 RPM when the turbo spooled up all the way the tach went all the way across to aroun 6000 and then went back to around 4000. Im sure its the clutch but it might be something else so I was just wondering should I just go ahead and get a new clutch or what. And how hard is it to put a clutch into a GST. thanks for your help

I would say about 99% sure it's your clutch. You probably just need to get a new one for it.

I just did a 1g AWD clutch job. Much easier then I thought and you only have FWD so it'll be even easier.
