I don't usually get into Mitsubishi transmissions, but the car was given to me and I'm fixing the trans and giving the car to my mom.

I had a quick tech question:
The sprag came out of the planetary gearset and I need to know which way it should be in.

I have the gearset on the bench with the opening for the sprag(one-way clutch)facing up.
I believe it is the center support that goes down on it. Depending on the installation, the center support either goes clockwise or counter-clockwise.

The converter puked its guts out so it just needed a good bath and filter & a flush of the cooler.
The trans is an F4A22-2(basically a KM-175) out of a 1994 Plymouth Laser.

Any help will be deeply appreciated!
Thanks in Advance

I guess I'm answering my own question since I had a local guy nice enough to call me back on a Sunday.
There is a tiny arrow on the sprag itself.
This arrow has to point TOWARDS the planetary gears.
I hope this helps in the future should any other members have the same problem.

I do like this site! :D
