I've just recently ordered some poly shiftter plate bushings from pep boys their similar to the stepped metal bushings for the shifter plate & price was a concern to me vs 35$

my question is that does anyone know the pro's con's if this will not give me any problems
I have a stock usual mushy tempermental shifter and have did not replace the shifter bushings that are under the hood for the shift linkage.

You could have got the metal symborski kit for that much.. :thumbdown

Or bought some thick washers...

Agreed ^. Sure, they may clink every once in a while, but that shifter plate will not budge.

Ditch the POS inserts on the transmission side of the shifter cables, and press in some rollerblade bearings. It will help to give a more positive shifting feel as well.

It will not cause problems.
