OK I figured out WTF the noise was in my front end. Passanger CV joint. How long do you think this will take for me to change it. Im damn good at taking stuff apart and throwing it back together. Great logic and I have every tool possible. Except a lift. I was just wondering because I will have very little time this weekend and want to get it out of the way. I have a chiltons at home and I didnt even check it out. This will be the first major repair I have done to this car. Im no idiot though. I've fixed tons of stuff from rebuilt quads to the rear diff. in a suburban.

Whats the average price to get this done at satan?
What do ya think, Can I do it?

Im gunna:D

The install on chris's 1g doesnt look to bad. Are the 1g and 2g similar steps?

Hardest part for me was getting the axle/hub nut loose. Used a Craftsman 1/2" socket and a 4 foot breaker bar. Also put some liquid wrench on it and hit it with a torch. Damn nut wouldn't even budge and I ended up breaking two wrenches. Last resort was to use an air chisel to cut the thing in half. Worked like a charm.

I had the sme problem with my 95, I coldnt get the damn nuts off. then it got worse I coudlnt even get the pass side hub to seperate from the axel. other then that it wasnt too bad just make sure you put neverseize on the mwhen you put it back together it will make changing the clutches in the future much easyer

COOL, Im gunna take a go at it. An air chisle and tourch will get any job done. :)

2gs might be different, but i believe on 1gs driver's side cv is a bit harder than passenger side. that probably doesn't apply to you though.

drivers side took me 3 days and passanger side 3 weeks. suck having car down for 3 weeks when it should only be down for 3 hours. the axle was rusted to the hub so bad that after 14tons of pressure it wouldn't budge. it was bending the spindle which is forged steel. so use plenty of anti seize.
