VW guy trying to fix his girls 2G GSX...

Hey everyone could I get some info off of ya? My girl has a 95 GSX auto. Whenever its decelerating, it clunks, like the converter isn't disengauging. The rear end also seems really loud. What should I look at? Coud it just be the torque converter, or is the whole tranny gonna need to be replaced? Thanks a ton in advance. Like the topic says, Im a MK2/Air cooled VW guy, so I really dont know a thing about the Mitsus.

Check the fluid levels in the transfer case and rearend. Has she had the recalls performed? Might want to check.

The last time my car clunked and whined, it was because one of the gears in the diff. was missing a tooth. Within 2 days, that gear was missing every tooth and the car would not move a inch. Check out her rear diff. asap.
