I dont know what gear lube to go with?

Also is there a site where i can buy the Neo stuff at?

thanks

I ran the NEO in one of my high mileage trannys, and loved it. It made it feel like a new tranny and even helped with second gear synchro grind. Very expensive tho, but I had a buddy order it for me, so I dont rember where he ordered it. I am gonna run it in my new Shepracing tranny also.

I found NEO RHD at www.BakerPrecision.com I saw it there a couple of weeks ago, but lately I can't get to the Neo page. When I click on the link it doesn't work anymore. Hopefully they are still offering Neo.

I asked J. Shepherd what lube he recomends, and he said to go with Neo RHD.

For which gearbox? Transfer case? Rear end?

Sorry I wasn't clear. Shep recomended Neo RHD for the tranny.

I just switched from Redline MTL to Pennsoil Syncromesh in my FWD, and it feels the same. Since it's half the cost of MTL I favor the Pennsoil Syncromesh, too.

i am running the redline mt-90 i wouldn't praise it either, i have also used valvoline synblend. not much of a difference there either, you people who say that changing the transmission fluid was like getting a new tranny, i have never experienced that when was the last time you changed your transmission fluid? i do mine every other oil change for the hell of it. just cuz its so easy

I have only used NEO, and it helped with shifing. I had no more grinding going in to second gear. Most people with high milage 1gs have this problem to. Its not the fix all or anything. I just had really good luck with it and will keep using it in my beater. IMO it was well worth the money I paid for it.

I have. When I got my first DSM in '94 it would grind about once for every 20 shifts. I didn't know any better, I figured "that's the way it is" so I just put up with it for 6 years until I heard about Redline MTL. I changed to MTL and that fixed the grinding. Then I had a shop do my clutch swap and the lube they used was some generic junk, and the tranny would grind bad again. I drained it and put in MTL again, all was good.

Some say BG syncroshift II is a little better, and the Penzawl syncrostuff is really good, too.

I had a Redline mix in my tranmission and didn't particularly cared for it. Threw in some BG and all is well once again. Much smoother shifting.

In the S4 I use Mobil SHC630 and love it. It got rid of the grinds and difficult shifts which is common in the S4 and which plagued me with the BG UltraGuard the previous owner used and the Redline I put in. After doing a comparison, it is almost identical (on paper) to the Neo RHD but for half the price. I have some on order and will be trying it in the DSM transmission.

Did anyone elso notice the Google ads at the bottom of this page? Those Google guys figured out how to post ads that relate to what we're discussing. I notice three links to find Royal Purple online. Pretty cool.

I wonder what ads pop up if the words Neo RHD occur more frequently in this thread?
