Ok I was originally going to go with a centerforce dual friction clutch on my car but my friend said he knew a few people with the centerforce and they had problems with it not lasting as long as it should have, has anyone heard of this? Currently my GSX is dybo'ing at 230hp at the wheels and 240 pounds of torque and I plan on adding a DSMLink, bigger ingectors and a FMIC so I Should be up around 300hp at the wheels and my clutch is my next upgrade. I like the centerforce because of the stock feel and its rated at 2500lbs to my understanding. From your experience and what you have heard what is a better cluth for about 300hp at the wheels when im done?

Chris

If you are not gentle on clutches, get the 2600.

i posted the exact same question like 2 weeks ago ... i was told to just go with the act 2600 ... it's in my car nmow and i love it.

I had a Centerforce and the goddamned springs came out of the disc after 7K! Not only that, but it looked pretty worn and the rubber dampers were coming apart as well, note, I only ever did one or two hard launches on it and was always babying it because I had a borked first gear thru most of it's life. Screw Centerforce.

ok, unless you're planning on making 500+ hp, then get the 2600. If you knew how to get a DSM to that range, you wouldn't need to ask that question. And no, the ACT 2600 isn't really adjustable....the adjustment for a clutch is on the master cylinder rod....unless I'm totally flaking on what you mean by adjustable, could you clarify?

I'm pretty sure that is what he meant.

You won't need more than a 2600.
