overflow on trans?

I just had my trans rebuilt and put it back on the car. I put fluid in it ( I think about .2-.3 quarts too much and I noticed it was dripping a little bit. ( after 2-3 days ) Is there some sort of overflow on the trans where when it's filled too high fluid will come out through there or how does this work? I just want to make sure I'm not going to be leaking fluid. ( I haven't even driven the car yet ) ... if there is a spot where the sealant didn't stick for some reason will it automatically seal after a while or while that trans stop leak stuff fix it? Thanks.

There is no overflow drain on the manual trannies. Look closely to see where the leak is coming from. It's possible a little fluid leaked out from the fill hole when they filled it and didn't wipe it off. Check the drain and fill plugs to make sure they're tight. There are three areas where fluid could leak out if the trans was filled up to the top, but it would take about 2 extra quarts to get the fluid that high, so it's not likely.

where is it leaking from? i had some leaking from the passenger side axle ... my friend did not put the axle back on right and i leaked about a quart of synchromesh before i found out where it was coming from (never drove it ... just finishing after putting a 92 awd tranny in and an act clutch, oh yeah and a "new" turbo)
