Will donut spare mess up my GSX?

Hey will having a donut spare on the back left hand side of my GSX mess up the AWD? My parents had an AWD van and had to put a donut on it because of a flat, they then drove less than 20 miles and it did $1200 worth of damage to the car. I was wondering if something like this could happen to a GSX?

Long as the circumference of your spare is the same as the rest of your tires, it will not cause damage.

Well most donuts are smaller so you saying that it will hurt my AWD? How much damage are we talking about?

The donut that comes with the car is size matched to the stock wheels and tires. If you have stock size wheels and tires still you can use the spare without hurting the car. If you went to a lower profile tire or a larger wheel you can damage the LSD.

The solution is to get AAA Unfortunately for me my spare tire's only use now (since I have a slightly larger tire/wheel combo than stock) is to support my trunk lid. Eventually I'll have to put together some sort of support so I can lose the tire, hehe.

But it won't mess anything up with stock wheels and tires right? And would moving the donut to one of the front tires and moving one of those to the back be better than put the donut on the back?

No, it won't mess up anything with the stock wheels and tires.

Good question... I'd prefer to have my "good" tires on the front with all the weight and steering.
