Whelp I just got my car checked out by a very good local shop just to see if they could find out what's been making the crazy vibration in the driveline. From what they said it's likely a bad t-case and/or rear diff. They also stated that the front wheels do no drive either (so essentially it's a RWD car at the moment). Just wondering if anyone would know what might be up. The car drives "ok" in that the tranny shifts fine, idles ok, et cetera...but if the front wheels aren't getting power would that possibly mean a broken center diff? Any ideas?

I dont have alot of experience with AWD talons and such, all but one of mine are FWD, but I don't belive that thats right cause the center diff is making the rears turn too, I belive. But what about the carriers in your driveshaft, I just looked at mine tonite and ones pretty sloppy and I know that these will make it vibrate!! So if they didn't check those, you might want to have them do it again, or do it yourself. It's easy... ;)

dont quit understand your 2 wheel drive senario.

If the center diff blows, it tends to turn the car into rear wheel drive. You have a blown center diff. If you want to test it, jack the car up off all 4 wheel and turn the rear wheels by hand.

I had a really good local shop look at the car as they have several hydraulic lifts & could get it off the ground much better than jacks or ramps could. They were able to put it into drive while up on the lift (chassis lift) & only the rear wheels would drive. So right now just the rear wheels are powering the car.

Tevenor: Yeah that's basically the same feedback I've gotten from others too. Sucks that I just got the damn car & now this crap already. Does anybody recommend welding the diff? I know handling will be sacrificed notably, but I really don't have the dough to spend on a 4 spider gear set let alone a Quaife...well ok I have the money, but can't really spend it. :(
