Well last night was my first time runnning 12's on my stock 14b.
was as follows:
R/T: .504
E/T: 12.801
MPH: 105.6
This was at 18psi ib 104unleaded mixed with 100octane. Now i need to put in my injectors and get some tuning.

Yes i did race at Capitol, my car was the White talon w/ the headlight removed. Were you driving that red 2g? I saw a couple of 2g's i know who the guy and girl with the white and teal ones are but other than that there may have been 1or2 other 2g's. As far as 1g's i think it was my white talon, the teal talon, the clean red talon and the white eclipse with the wheels on it with all the tire shine. My car had the stock wheels on it.

As for my mods, they are all in profile except for the weight mods which consist of things to begin with, removed front bumper support, removed sound detening material, no tire-jack-tools, no rear seats or seat belts, no rear body pannels, not rear washer resivoir etc. I planning on taking off more weight before i get more parts to include, A/C, Cruise Control, more sound material, maybe rear bumper support, and at the track maybe pass. seat. yeah I was in the 2g that u could smell burning clutch after my runs....my third run I slipped the whole way donw thwe track barley made it all the way...let alone home.

Oh yeah I knew I forgot to take my headlight out...gotta find all the bolts first.

oh yeah the guy in the other white 1g is a guy at my school and the clean red awd 1g is a other guy I met at work(hopefull;y getting the 14b from him:thumb: )
 
That's cool, i don't think i've ever seen you b efrore Friday, but i've seen your name pop up on some of the MD post's lately. Where are you from, i live near Laurel. I didn't get to watch anyone else run realy becaue i was at my car most of the time double checking everything and waiting by it while i let the a/c fans cool down the engine. What did you manage to run. I heard the guy with the white 2g GSX hit a 14.2 and i think his girlfriend with the teal GST 2g got a 15.2. I thought that there was a decent show up of dsms friday so that was cool. I think that's about the best weather my car will ever see. Its gunna make it realy hard for me to beat my times now because the weather will probobaly suck now. Oh, well that might be my last run for the year, i'm happy with it! :dsm:

All my runs were terrible on friday, the best I could do with my fried clutch was 15@94 or 93 (1st gear slipped all the way to the rev limiter after I crossed the line)something cant remember. When the car has clutch and grip it feels like a low 14 sec car...but I can only dream til I get my clutch on.

Yeah i've talked to a lot of dsm'ers with fried clutches up at capitol and its almost pointless to race, bc its about a second off of what your car could do if it was grabbing. Get a 2100 or 2600act, i love my 2100 and it got me in the 12's plus w/ a 7bolt you might not want the heavy 2600. You gunna be out there again soon?

damn...I'm always impressed with you 1g guys getting 12s in 14b's yeh you were on race gas so that has something to do with it...but with my 16g on 91 oct...its hard for me to get low 13s, if I had race gas, sure i'd be in the low 12s...anyway...good job
 
Im saving for the 2100 I have the act xact flywheel coming(should be here on tues). Yeah I might go again but def to watch not race...and yes its very pointless:D . Next time Im going to air down the sticky potenzas and Im hoping for better times.
 
great time!! and 0 to 60!! my best 0 to 60 is 1.71, what was your 1/8 mile and mph, i only did a 8.5 at 85 but came back to do 111, big 16g power up top and shitty shifts gave me the weird results compared to you, what size injectors do u run?

Sweet, I can't wait til spring. Then hopefully I can run a .10-.5 sec faster cause I won't be misfiring :) (damn wires/plugs) and I can actually strip the pig :) congrats man, it's people like you that keep me going with this 14b thats screaming for its life :laugh: :thumb:

Yeah i originaly wanted a 20G, untill i found out how kick ass the 14b can be with some good mods. Yeah i used to talk with Phil Beers up at Extreme and he got me inspired on the 14B, i'm just starting out with this talon, but once i get some more mods on, i'm looking to be the 3rd or so fastest dsm on14b, according to DSMTIMES.ORG that would mean i'd have to run about a 12.30 can anyone verify this?? I don't wanna break any records but i think i'd be really proud of my car if i cold make it the 3rd fastest 14b. Not trying to get my hopes up, but if i can get my car running in the lowwer 12's on stock turbo, it shouldn't be a problem to get a solid 11 second run once i put on a bigger turbo. Well thanks for the support guys and good luck to the 14b crowd! :thumb:

Unofficially, a local has 3rd place. He's gone 12.10 at 112.5 in his 91 awd. I'm just going after that time :)

- the late Jeff Carpenter and at one time 14b record holder ran 12.27

He was my real inspiration and his O2 dump mod helped me achieve what I have on the 14.........

Well third place standing at 12.13 is a little faster than i thougt, but thanks for the feed back. I don't know if i'll be able to get my talon that deep in the 12's on the 14b, but i'm gunna try.
 
I just bought an SAFC, any advise on adjustments, Should i try C16 now that i have a way to lean my car out, or should i stick with the 110 leaded? and advise is appriciated since i've never used an afc.

u said stock 14b, does that mean like never ported or clipped or bigger flapper or anything like that? causs i know all the low 12s were at least ported or moded in some way, if completely stock then that makes your time even better, another thing, u just asked how to use afc, so im assuming u did this all on done with no afc which is both hard to believe and great, do u tune with a datalogger at least?
 
my turbine housing is ported..........turbo itself has never been off the car...Jay Hass went 12.52 with not porting.....I think I went as quick as 12.72 and then went to ported.


No datalogger. 12.02 with no AFC and 1G Maf, best mph with that set-up was 113.17.

Now Im on AFC2, 2G maf, 550cc [email protected]


I have a decent boost leak at the head at cyl 1-2 due to broken studs so my car will not hold 21 psi solid, it drops to as low as 18 over the course of my run.....once this is fixed and I retune in the spring....11's should finally come.......

Damn you 1g guys are ridiculous!!! low 12s on the 14b!!! All I have to say is(well gesture):thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Keep em coming, you guys may just convince me to dump the big 16g idea and go for a MUCH cheaper 14b.
